Roleplay first - Prioritize roleplay: Maintain your in-character status on the server consistently and engage in roleplay during the encounters you face. If a rule is broken, report it after the scenario concludes (excluding major rule breaks like racism, sexual abuse, or major harassment).
Guideline Rules
PD Bodycam - Bodycam footage MUST actively display the Roleplay prior to the scene where the bodycam is being turned on and activated while having a Bodycam in your pockets. Footage which doesn't display the neccessary RP to show the Bodycam is active will be thrown out and treated at OOC footage. This is to prevent metagaming and using full recordings whenever pleased without the correct amount of Roleplay.
Garages - When your character is actively in a chase, garages are strictly off-limits. Vehicles may not be parked nor pulled out from any garage during an active scene. Prior planning must be thought out and done, such as pre-pulling out your vehicles and parking them up ready for use.
Twitch TOS - Respect Twitch.tv TOS to protect the streamers in the city.
Be respectful - No racism, sexism, or hateful prejudice is allowed. This community is designed for all players to feel safe and welcome. Any form of hateful conduct will not be tolerated on this server.
No harassment - Do not harass other players, whether sexually or otherwise. Any behavior that involves persistent aggressive pressure or approaches the level of intimidation on an out-of-character (OOC) basis is in violation of the server rules. This rule does not apply to characters engaging in legitimate roleplay (RP) scenarios and cannot be used by players to avoid the consequences of their in-character actions. If you believe you are being harassed, please open a support ticket, and we will assist you in finding a resolution.
Racial slang - The use of racial slang should be minimized, if at all used entirely. It's a difficult process for us having to determine someone's heritage based off their voice alone. To prevent the need for questioning individuals about their background, it's easier that we remove these words from being used within the city.
No exploiting - If you encounter a mechanic that appears to be malfunctioning or overly effective (e.g., emote spamming), please report it to the staff and refrain from using the mechanic. Additionally, do not engage in actions that exploit a situation, such as combat logging or camping medical points. We have zero tolerance on people who attempt to exploit for an advantage.
Respect Green Zones - Certain areas on the server, including hospitals (inside and their parking areas) and Tinsel Towers (lobby and the surrounding area), strictly prohibit activities such as kidnapping, robbing, or assaulting with weapons. Additionally, camping exits or intentionally fleeing or hiding within these zones to avoid active conflict is strictly prohibited.
Value your life - Value your own life and the lives of those your character cares about, including police, innocent civilians, hostages, friends and acquaintances. When you are held at gun point and you are unarmed(Currently holding no weapon), you must surrender, listening to the person/group holding you up. Only time this situation may differ is when you plan on roleplaying out the full conqesuences of your actions for story development. Be it being a perma-death or other long-term/permenant conqesuences.
No random deathmatching - Refrain from attacking or engaging in combat with another player without prior verbal roleplay (RP) interaction or being formally initiated into combat. This guideline applies to both regular engagements and those involving vehicles or drive-by situations. Ensure that you provide sufficient RP and counterplay before resorting to shooting or combat actions.
No Metagaming - Avoid metagaming, which refers to using information that your character has not acquired in-character. This includes details obtained from streams, Discord direct messages, or any other out-of-character (OOC) sources of information.
No stream sniping - Do not, under any circumstances, use a stream to obtain information about a streamer's needs or location in order to join them on the server. Meet eveyrone naturally through roleplay
No Power gaming - Power gaming involves completely removing a player's agency in a situation. You must leave the player with at least some options for counterplay in a scenario. For instance, when kidnapping a player, provide them with options to resolve the situation before causing harm, in a manner consistent with the roleplay (RP). While the police, as a game mechanic, may inherently power game players who commit crimes, police players should make an effort to offer counterplay whenever possible.
Group Limits - A maximum of 6 players are allowed for a heist or crime mechanics. The police are limited to 9, unless the encounter is incredibly violent and then more may respond.
Copyright music - Avoid copyrighted music in public, protect content creators.
Fail RP - If you openly distort the game world with noticeably low-quality roleplay or disrupt other players' experiences by being excessively obnoxious and not taking the server seriously, we reserve the right to remove you to maintain our server's goal of high-quality roleplaying.
Staff Toxicity - You are encouraged to provide constructive criticism for the server; however, refrain from being toxic towards the staff. We have established review policies in which reports against staff, including owners, are independently assessed without their input. This also applies to ban appeals.
PD Corruption - The police department is prohibited from furnishing false information for subpoena or warrant requests. This restriction is in place due to a lower burden of proof for the sake of expediting roleplay (RP).
No Vehicle Death Matching - Avoid deliberately using your vehicle as a weapon unless you have no alternative means of escape, and striking another player with your vehicle is the only option. This action should be a one-time occurrence and should not be repeated. Additionally, it should only be considered when it does not jeopardize your own life.
Pocket Wiping - Confiscating the majority of items from a person when they are incapacitated or through robbery mechanics without a roleplay (RP) reason is prohibited and may be regarded as griefing. For instance, taking someone's gun or valuable goods is acceptable, while taking someone's water, food, guns, and miscellaneous items for no reason is not allowed.
Conflict - Engaging in repeated large-scale shootouts resulting in multiple casualties within a short timeframe (within hours of one another) will be deemed as failure of roleplay (RP). As well as never-ending conflict issues. Every conflict must have a conclusion, there is no reason or need to constantly harass a group or player without allowing the conflict to come to an end will be considered as griefing.
New Life Rule - If your character is in a critical state and forced to respawn at the Hospital using local EMS all memories leading up to the incident which caused the injuries must be forgotten If you've been downed and request EMS and receive the notification that they have been alerted your character must remain waiting for them to respond and not use local EMS to respawn.
Ocean Dumping - If your character has been ocean dumped, then all memory leading up to the incident must be forgotten.
Reporting Rules
Required details - For the staff to enforce the rules, reporting a player will require their Player ID. Player ID's may be gained by holding the 'Home' button in the city. Abuse of this mechanic and using it to your advantage will not be tolerated.
Clip lengths - When reporting someone we request that all clips are a minimum length of 2 minutes and include the full scene. On top of clips you send, we have to do our due diligence and ivestigate both side of the stories, so allow the staff time to investigate and resolve.
Report results - When a report is made, the staff team is not required to discuss the result if we deem it's not necessary.
Enforcing the rules - Reporting players breaking the rules is a great help for the staff to ensure you to have a great community and city to be in. On top of player reports, the staff team will actively be enforcing the rules.
Appealing Rules
Temporary bans - Unless the ban is falsely done, temporary bans are not appealable and the amount of time you received must be waited out. Punishments are final. If you do not wish to be banned, it's strongly advised that the rules are followed. If you are unsure about something, ask the staff.
Permenant Bans - If you have received a permenant ban, you may attempt to appeal it once every 6 months. A permenant ban appeal must be written in detail, explaining your understanding why you received the ban and the reason you believe you should be allowed back. These appeals will be handled by Administrators. Appeals may be denied instantly with full removal from the community if we deem that necessary.
